A simple side dish to be served with steak or fish, particularly good for a low calorie diet. This is really easy to make.
2 – 3 asparagus spears per person
2 garlic cloves
1 small onion
A little oil for frying
Place the asparagus in boiling water and turn off the heat.
Chop the garlic finely and the onion.
Place the onion into a frying pan on medium heat and cook in a little oil.
Add the garlic as the onions cook, about 2 minutes into the process.
After about 3 – 4 minutes in the hot water the spears and cut into 1 cm pieces.
Add to the onion and garlic and mix well.
Add a little salt to taste. The asparagus can be cooked as long as you like, five minutes will give a soft result, 1 – 2 minutes should have some bite to it.
