Halloumi Cooked

Halloumi is easy to make. Really, all you need is milk, rennet, salt and some of the whey – as well as a way to press the cheese(I use two chopping boards with a load of weight on it) Look at my last post about when the dog drank the whey – be warned!

Anyway, cooked is easy. We used a griddle, and simply seared it so it burns, and it is so tasty. Squeaky, creamy and tasty! The only way to describe it.

Anyway, you can fry it, grill it, add it to casseroles and stir fries, almost anything.


Have a go – even if you buy the halloumi from the shop.


It really is a very rewarding pastime.
